First Lutheran Church Phase II & Sanctuary Fargo, ND
The new “heart” of the church encourages connection and fellowship for this growing congregation.
The growing needs of First Lutheran Church provided the platform for an expansion and renovation project to increase the functional space requirements for the church and expand flexibility. In addition to expanding space, many updates were needed including renovating the Sanctuary woodwork, new technology systems and updating the mechanical and electrical systems.
The addition includes expanding the fellowship hall, administrative office and workroom functions, and expanded pastoral suite. The mechanical and electrical systems were updated to meet the demands of the growing facility and a new elevator was installed to provide accessibility to all levels.
The second master planned step in First Lutheran’s journey to keep facilities responding to congregation demand.
While improving access and connections, the renovation project accommodates traditional and contemporary worshippers in a central fellowship space reconnecting the church family.
The phase II project provides elevator access to all floors, improves internal circulation, expands fellowship space and provides new education and office space.
Updates in the traditional sanctuary improve flexibility at the altar space, integrate and conceal technology, and improve music capabilities while maintaining the integrity of the early 1900’s sanctuary detail.
